Strengthening

We cannot and will not rest until there is a vital, evangelizing, discipling, reproducing church within driving distance of each of the three million people in the nine counties of Southwestern Pennsylvania, in their own heart language is our vision.

In order for this to be reality, many existing churches must become much more healthy and stronger.  We offer fellowship opportunities, training events and individual consultation for each of our churches.  Some of this training is done by our Associational Missionary, but the bulk of it is done through associates such as Jennifer Cogley, cogley618@windstream.net,  our Western PA Church Strengthening Consultant.  She is especially gifted and experienced in Children and Preschool work.  We also call upon a cadre of capable consultants in almost every area of church life.  For more assistance contact brnonline.org

"How do I get this training?" you might ask.  The statement that our Associational Missionary leaves with our pastors almost every time we are together is, "The only way I will not help you is if I do not know that you need me!"

We have created a culture in our association that when a pastor or church member of one of our churches makes us aware of a need, we will respond as quickly as the calendar will allow to get quality training.  We Southern Baptists have training for everything in church life.  In fact, we have training for stuff, I am not even sure we should have the stuff.  We will also provide a meal at our expense in most cases.  We do understand that if you feed them they will come.  The only catch to this plan is that you (the requesting church) must allow us to invite the other churches of our association to come.  This is just a matter of stewardship.  If you need the training, more than likely, other churches in our area need it as well.

Remember:  the only way I will not help you is if I do not know that you need it!
