2011 elected officers: Moderator - Kim Grueser, Pastor of Pittsburgh Baptist; Treasurer - Karen Warren, Adminstrative Assistant, BASWP and member of Cranberry Baptist.
Our Baptist Association of SW PA approved that we enter into affiliation with the Western PA Baptist Resource Network (BRN-West) with a Transition Team to bring back an evaluation report at the end of one year (October 23, 2011 annual meeting).
BRN - Transition Team elected for 2011: Kim Grueser, BASWP Moderator; Karen Warren, BASWP Treasurer; Barry Whitworth, BRN-West Region Team Leader & Multiplying Churches Team Leader; Jennifer Cogley, Developing Believers Functional Team; Kirk Ritchey, Collegiate Ministries Director & Sending Missionaries Team; Moises Rosario, Hispanic Coordinator & Multiplying Churches Team; Tom Lemmon, Pastor of Lakeside Community Church; Kevin Roberts, Pastor of Charleroi Baptist Church; Larry Walker, Pastor of West Hills Baptist Church; Steve Arrendondo, Pastor, Church at the Crossroads, Grove City; Ashley Shook, Pastor, Lake Pointe Community Church, Erie; Doug Pilot, ADOM Conemaugh Valley BA; Henry Moore, ADOM Baptist Association of SW PA.
During this one year transition, the Transition Team will be responsible for evaluation and on-going operation of the BASWP. This will include the evaluation report mentioned earlier as well as transfering financial accounting and dispersements to our state offices in Harrisburg, constitution and process procedures changes, property management, and assessments of cooperating churches of BASWP.
A vision of our future was presented by Henry Moore, ADOM BASWP encouraging our association to be a networking resource for our churches that is relevant to God's Kingdom purpose. The churches will connect in their cultural context locally and will be on mission beyond their "Jerusalem" to their national and international responsibilities.
