 Upcoming Events . . .
You will be a vital part of the Southern Baptist Convention in Indianapolis, June 8-12. You may be asking, “How can this be?” You may not even plan to the convention. But whether you are there in person or not, Southwestern Pennsylvania will be well represented. The first weekend in May there was a video crew from the North American Mission Board in the ‘Burgh to shoot about how the Baptist Association of SWPA has led out in planting twenty-four churches during the past six years.  This video will be shown as a part of the NAMB report   to    the    convention    on     Tuesday      evening,
June 10.   You will be a part of the SBC!

Power Plant in the ‘Burgh, June 14-20

What is Power Plant anyway? It is a pre-packaged mission trip where middle and high school and college students spend a week working alongside a church planter. We have been blessed to host power plant in Pittsburgh for the past four-five years and it has been a wonderful experience. It gives a shot in the arm to our planters as the teams do servant evangelism projects, sports camps, Bible clubs, surveys, block parties, etc. It is also designed to sow seeds of church planting into the lives of these teens. Our prayer is that the Lord will call some of them to be church planters or perhaps to be chairpersons of their church’s mission committees and that they will have had a positive church planting experience from which to draw in the future. Jason and Genee Duckett are planting in the Reynoldsville area in Connemaugh Valley Association as a result of power plant a few years ago. For more information, contact Sami   Touchton    at
